Today me and my friend ran away from all the hustle and bustle at central London after a light dinner at La Formagerie, we hid in the National Gallery. Looking at Monét and Seurat and a series of painting in a room under the title ' The Sacred Made New'.

We walked around and talked about those pale dudes in shorts and tights, lady in dresses made out of vintage curtains and those french soldiers in military jackets which are now sold at Portobello Market... If those guys in the painting heard us saying all these non-sense about them, they will come haunt us on Halloween day...Oops!

I was looking at my foundation work and see if I can find something. Indeed, a lot of interesting things. I swear there must be something under my bed that makes everything I used to hate looks so much more pleasing to the eye.

I am going through my painting sketchbook in bed, can't be bothered to climb out of this cozy hut, or risk my one chance to learn to use the ultimate laser cutter in my college (in the morning, if not I wouldn't have mentioned it), to plug in my scanner and scan the photos and paintings.

by then, good night. x

I love Finnish artist Anu Tuominen's work at first sight when it appeared in So-En July 2008. I am hoping she will have an exhibition soon, anywhere in Europe I will go. Her book Thinkables is on my wishlist (hint, hint), but it is so hard to find it...sigh.

There are more work similar to hers at Art-u-room, loveliness.
thanks for the reminder from poppytalk.

to be honest with you, Stranger.

I am very stuck.
I am having one of those funny mood.

tried to draw a sad clown to illustrate my funny mood, but I can't.
this is how bad it is :( please bear with all these random and bulks and bulks of postings, cause I am trying to look at all sort of random things to fix this.

Hopefully, a cuppa with Kim, a hangout with Karin, a movie, some new cozy home socks will heal this terrible terrible creative-flu.

Speaking of organizing flea market finds and overflowing stuff, Martin O'Neill is the best person to look up to. He labels his drawers and shelves in a very personal and specific order which no one would understand other than himself. I wish one day I can visit his studio at Hastings

Although it has been a long time since I got the book Dogs and Dice from Magma on my detour to Monmouth Coffee, I can still recall the confusion when I first looked at the book's title, thinking ' okay, it has a very nice cover ( ooo it can be unfolded turning into a poster ), don't know what it's about but if it's around 10 pounds I will get it. ' It turned out to be 12 pounds, and I must say it's worth the coffee money :)

' With a passion for design I love to collect cool stuff and though my desk is clear here I’m usually working on multiple projects and boy does it fill up fast! So with such a small space I try to have a place for most things. I put inspiration and samples I’m working on up on the 4’x3’ cork board above my desk. Cork boards are so great the way they neatly frame an ever changing chaos of pieces and scraps. Under and to the side of my desk is where I keep files organized (also flea market finds). My mum was complaining that I have too much 'stuff ' on my desk when she saw it on skype. Well, I guess this is the best solution.

Oversize Tees and baggy jeans.

For those who have asked where I got my clothes from, would know I have loads of menswear (sometimes from Gap kids tehee). And I have been looking for a solution not to look sloppy in them. The above styles are just brilliant, girly but not too much. I like. problem solved.
