Friend of mine shared this video on Facebook of The Brandt Brauer Frick Ensemble,
and all I can say is that 'it now makes sense to me'.

I like the delicateness in music, and I like acoustic music,
they achieve both.

I went to Rachel Whiteread's Exhibition at Tate Britain.
It was showing her drawings and sketches of her sculpture work, which she was famous for.
I love it very much. I was looking at drawings on graph paper, smiling.

There are sentiments which I share with the artist.
For instance, 'Study of the floor', I totally get it!
I remember I used to stare at the wooden floor at my grandma's place,
and study the pattern of it, noted every little holes and cracks,
which I still do sometimes...

I enjoy every minute when I was at the exhibition :)
staring at little correction fluid traces, dribble across the paper.
love it. make sure you check it out too!

I was really upset about losing this postcard.

gahhh.
I am finding it very hard to concentrate.
the sun, the birds, the squirrels outside my window are so distracting!
I pull open my curtain and put on my sunnies to enjoy summer for a bit,
and now getting back to my me me me me essay (contextual statement, whatever that is)
which I hate talking about myself and my work.

I am thinking about this time next week hanging out at London Fields in order to motivate myself,
cause I don't want to mourn over unsatisfying work by then.

no sleep tonight.

I have been sleeping too much and going out too much for
someone trying to meet a deadline on Monday and still have tons of unaccomplished tasks...
don't know why can't I run all-nighter like I used to,
and I work better from 8 AM - 2 PM.

I even pray to God about it.

then this afternoon I napped for 3 hours,
so I should be able to stay up tonight to finish up things
and get them printed at the printers at 9 AM then go to sleep at 12PM.
that's the plan. Thank God for the power nap :D

while I was escaping from work,
I stumbled across Julia Frakes' blog/journal.
(I am sure you have seen her in blogs and magazine, she is everywhere.)
It got me thinking about my interests in clothing, and I looked into my closet...
man, don't think I will get any work done this evening.

I try curbing my interest in fashion in a way it won't turn into an obsession.
let's put it this way, I like wearing clothes. clothes that I like.
Fashion to me is more of an appreciation.

There was this disgraceful period in my life when I would try so hard to dress up,
and tried very hard to make a statement with everything I wear,
yet it has nothing to say about myself.

I still like dressing up, but now with a different attitude.
I only put on things I really like, and it reflects bits of my character from the items I picked according to my liking, instead of trying to impress.

oh, and I love shopping with friends.
it makes me happy if I picked something they really like.
it's about knowing their personality and pick something for them, it's an understanding :)

Some people asked if I am interested in styling, and I usually humbly say no.
now when I think about it, why not.
I guess as long as it's not focusing on 'my choice' cause I don't want people to trust in my taste as an authority, but more of creating an atmosphere, a mood,
I will be more than happy to take up the job to share my inspiration.
(below is a photo I sent my friend to let them guess how many layers I was wearing on a snowing day.)

lately, everything seems to be reminding me that there are decisions to make.
there is this voice keep rushing me saying 'it is time, it is time...'

I wish I could just jump to the future and skip this itch of thoughts keep lingering at the back of my head.
I keep telling myself, 'yes, I am free to go anywhere.' or 'I pretty much can do whatever I want to.' ,
yet and yet there are unseen hold backs.

Since I know not what to worry about, but I am worried,
the best thing to do is be prepared to be surprised, and I am sure everything will turn out fine,
more than fine actually. Everything will be great.

I still have plenty of time.
